Sanctuary House partners with The Green Bean and A Sweet Success! Bakery to raise awareness for Mental Health
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Sanctuary House is partnering with The Green Bean and A Sweet Success! Bakery to help to raise awareness for mental health by wearing green on Wednesday, May 21st.
Staff, members, and volunteers from Sanctuary House will be at The Green Bean on Wednesday, May 21st, wearing green to show support. Visit The Green Bean (341 S. Elm St.) and wear green between the hours of 8am-10am and take $0.50 off your coffee purchase in thanks for your support.
Sanctuary House is also continuing to raise awareness throughout the day by asking supporters wearing green to snap a photo and to post on social media networks using #sanctuaryhouse and #greenbean in an effort to reach more people and raise awareness for Mental Health.
According to NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness), “One in four adults-approximately 61.5 million Americans-experiences mental illness in a given year. One in 17-about 13.6 million-live with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, major depression or bipolar disorder.” (credit)

Community members and patrons to The Green Bean are being asked to WEAR GREEN on MAY 21st to raise awareness for Mental Health.
